Welcome to Freddy’s Menu, an independent resource created by fans for fans of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. We are a small team of food enthusiasts and nutrition nerds who love Freddy’s signature steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and creamy frozen custard. Our goal is to provide diners with an accurate snapshot of Freddy’s menu, including price ranges, nutrition information, allergens and tips for choosing your meal.
Important: We are not owned by or affiliated with Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. Freddy’s is a trademarked brand of Freddy’s, LLC. Our site exists solely to help customers make informed choices.
We noticed that many restaurant websites either omit nutrition information or make it difficult to compare menu items. Freddy’s official site provides a wealth of details, but it can be time‑consuming to navigate if you just want to know which burger has the highest protein or how many calories are in a sundae. We built this site to compile all that data in one place and to add tools—such as filters for calories, protein, carbs, fat and sodium—that help you find the right item quickly.
Our content is thoroughly researched. Menu prices and nutrition values are gleaned from official sources, and when ranges are required (because each restaurant may portion ingredients slightly differently), we show the minimum and maximum values. We also provide context: for example, the single steakburger combo contains between 1,010 and 1,100 calories depending on sides and drink choices; protein ranges from 42 to 46 grams; and a sundae can vary from 450 to 790 calories. These ranges help customers estimate their intake and compare similar products.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was founded by the Simon family and their friend Scott Redler. Frederick L. “Freddy” Simon—an Army veteran who served in the Pacific during World War II and earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star—lent his name to a family‑owned restaurant established by his sons, Randy and Bill, and Redler. The first location opened in Wichita, Kansas, on August 26, 2002.
Freddy’s quickly built a loyal customer base thanks to its focus on signature steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and fresh frozen custard. The food was inspired by “All American” meals Freddy served his own family, and the restaurants evoke the fast‑casual dining experience of the late 1940s and early 1950s—an era of optimism and quality family time.
From one restaurant in Wichita, the chain expanded rapidly. Freddy’s began franchising in 2004 and opened stores across the United States. By 2023 it operated more than 493 locations across 37 states. As of September 2025 the brand had 560 locations, still focusing on the same core menu. The company’s growth underscores the universal appeal of its simple yet flavorful offerings.
Our mission is to make Freddy’s menu transparent and accessible. We believe that diners have a right to know what they’re eating—whether they’re counting macros, avoiding allergens or just curious about the difference between a Classic Double and a California Style burger. To achieve this we:
<main> element to wrap the primary content and include skip links so keyboard users can jump past the navigation, aligning with guidelines that require a discernible main landmark. We also ensure that links have accessible names rather than icon‑only links and that ARIA roles have the required children. We welcome feedback, corrections and questions.
